Dorothea Lasky’s Virtual Reading at The Dollhouse Tomorrow

Public readings, much like rock shows, are cutting out the middleman venue/bar and throwing their own house shows, resulting in a more intimate, free, and for-the-people-by-the-people aesthetic.  One such group is The Dollhouse in Chicago, and tomorrow night, poet Dorothea Lasky will be reading there (and hopefully from her forthcoming book Thunderbird).  Interestingly, she will not be there in body but instead in spirit and digital presence, as she reads via Skype for the excited attendees.  Be sure to check out all the activity of new writers at The Dollhouse, and definitely check out Lasky’s new book on Wave.
