John Zorn’s Screenwriting Debut at NYFF 2011

This year’s New York Film Festival will feature a 4-day selection of experimental film on October 7-11 titled Views from the Avant-Garde.  This year will feature an especially noteworthy project: composer John Zorn’s own film script, “A Film in 15 Scenes,” considered by Zorn to be visual music and a component to his book series Arcana.  The script has been interpreted by four different filmmakers, each hand-selected by Zorn.  The list of collaborators is below, as well as a link to the festival’s official site with show times and additional information.
